I understand that What a Joy™ and its instructors provide doula support, labor massage/bodywork, education, training, and informational services only and are not physicians, midwives, nurses, or other medical providers. These services and classes are not a substitute for medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or advice.

I agree to consult with my physician, midwife, or other qualified healthcare provider regarding my individual health, pregnancy, labor, postpartum care, and whether labor massage or any technique discussed or demonstrated is appropriate for me.

By participating in What a Joy™ services or training, I voluntarily assume responsibility for my participation and agree to promptly communicate any concerns, medical conditions, symptoms, or changes in my condition to my healthcare provider and/or What a Joy™.

I understand that What a Joy™ and its instructors do not guarantee any particular pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, or training outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless What a Joy™, its owners, instructors, contractors, and representatives from claims arising from my voluntary participation, except where liability cannot legally be waived or released.
